The St. Charles Park District’s summer concert series returns this summer every Thursday at 7pm in Lincoln Park downtown St. Charles! These free concerts epitomize the best of small-town living as the community comes together to enjoy an evening of musical talent to rival anything seen in the big city to our east.
What gets your toes tapping? Classic music? Rock? Country? Blues? Whether it’s a country-and-western band with its own Nashville sound or an out-a-site party band playing the grittiest, grooviest garage rock hits, there is something for every musical taste on tap during the ever-popular Concerts in the Park series.
The series kicks off June 4 with The Yacht Rock-ettes, bringing smooth soft rock favorites from the ’70s and ’80s to the stage with velvety vocals, saxophone solos and feel-good hits from artists like Hall & Oates, Toto and Kenny Loggins.
On June 11, Feel Good Party Band delivers nonstop party favorites from the ’60s through today, creating a dance-filled evening packed with upbeat energy and familiar songs.
Classic rock fans can relive legendary anthems June 18 with Anthem, featuring iconic hits from Journey, Bon Jovi, Queen and Van Halen in a high-energy performance.
Vintage Swing Band takes audiences back in time on June 25 with timeless jazz favorites and big band sounds from the ’20s, ’30s and ’40s, creating a nostalgic summer evening filled with swing and toe-tapping rhythms.
There will be no concert on July 2.
The series resumes July 9 with Hillbilly Rockstarz, blending today’s country hits, classic favorites and rock influences into a boot-scootin’ good time full of nonstop energy.
Fans of nostalgic pop music won’t want to miss The Boy Band Night on July 16, celebrating the biggest boy band hits of the ’90s and 2000s from groups like Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC and One Direction.
On July 23, Beyond the Blonde brings powerhouse performances honoring pop-rock icons including P!NK, Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga with bold costumes, fierce vocals and a vibrant stage show.
Abby Kay takes the stage July 30 with a high-energy mix of country, rock, pop and blues, featuring crowd-favorite covers alongside original music perfect for a summer night out.
The season concludes Aug. 6 with 7th Heaven, known for their legendary “30 Songs in 30 Minutes” medley and nonstop live entertainment that keeps audiences singing and dancing all evening long.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and friends to enjoy the summer concert atmosphere. Food and refreshments may be available for purchase at select performances.
