The St. Charles Park District maintains garden plots for the St. Charles community. Plots are reserved for perennials and annuals. Park District staff rototill all of the annual plots around the first of April, weather permitting. There is a plot limit for each household.
There’s a more accessible opportunity for gardeners with special needs at JBCP. An Eagle Scout designed, assembled and installed six raised planter beds over the past winter. There are accessible pathways to and around each bed, 10 ft. long by 4 ft. wide. Also, the beds are in close proximity to a water spigot.
