Along with other area park districts, the St. Charles Park District is a founding member of the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA), which provides year round recreational programs for individuals with disabilities by working with staff to mainstream participants into Park District sponsored recreation programs.
If you or a household member has a special need or request for reasonable accommodation in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, please indicate so at least two weeks in advance of an activity start date. Please understand that failure to provide timely and appropriate notice of a special need and/or request for reasonable accommodation may result in a delay in registration. For more details, call 630-513-6200.
Notice Regarding Summer 2020 Programming in Light of COVID-19
St. Charles Park District will continue to closely monitor health and safety guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Disease and Control in planning summer programming. Any accommodation requests will be considered in conjunction with health and safety guidance from the IDPH. The IDPH recommends that any adults over the age of 60 years, especially with serious medical conditions, or any children with serious underlying medical conditions, avoid congregate settings, such as childcare or daycare centers.
Persons interested in attending a District meeting should notify staff at least 36 hours in advance of the meeting. If requested, a sign language interpreter can be provided for Park Board meetings or other important meetings. Minutes of Park Board meetings and other official documents can be available in an alternative format (audio tape or Braille) upon request. For more information, call 630-584-1055.
