Fees to be charged for copying and for certification of public records:
No fees will be charged for the first 50 pages of black and white, letter or legal sized copies. Thereafter, a fee of $.05 per page may be charged for copying letter-size documents; $.10 for legal size documents, and the actual cost incurred in reproducing for non-standardized documents; and $1.00 per document for certification of records. No charge shall be made for staff time spent for searching or reviewing records. The Park District may waive or reduce fees if the person requesting the documents states the specific purpose for the request and indicates that a fee waiver or reduction is in the public interest. Fee waiver or reduction is in the public interest if the principal purpose of the request is to access and disseminate information regarding the health, safety and welfare or legal rights of the general public and is not for the principal purpose of personal or commercial benefit. In setting the amount of fee waiver or reduction, the Park District may take into consideration the amount of materials requested and the cost of copying them.
